What we collect when you contact us

Our contact form, consultation form and article-notification form send us what you enter into them. Nothing is collected from you unless you fill in a form and submit it.

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number and message.
• Free consultation form: the same, plus the role you selected and the systems you ticked as being interested in.
• Article notifications: your email address only.

What we do with it

We use it to answer your enquiry, prepare a specification or quotation where you have asked for one, and follow up on that conversation. If you asked to be told about new articles, we use your email address for that and nothing else.

We do not sell your details. We do not pass them to marketing companies, advertising networks or data brokers. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked us a question.

Who else handles it

Three services are involved in running this site. We have kept the list this short deliberately.

• Web3Forms delivers our form submissions to our email. Whatever you type into a form passes through their service on the way to us.
• Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and which country they are in. It sets cookies to do this.
• Google Maps provides the map on our contact page. It loads only on that page.

What we never send to Analytics

When a form is submitted successfully we record that it happened, along with the role you selected, the systems you ticked, and which page and language you were on. That is used to understand which parts of the site produce useful enquiries.

Your name, phone number, email address and message are never sent to Google Analytics or to any advertising system. They go to our inbox and stay there. This is a rule in our own code, not a promise we are asking you to take on trust.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are the Google Analytics ones described above, and they load after the page has finished loading rather than before. We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or social media trackers on this site.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them; we simply stop counting your visit.

How long we keep things

Enquiries stay in our email for as long as the commercial relationship or the possibility of one is live, because a project specified this year is often ordered the next. Google Analytics data is retained on Google's standard schedule.

If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask us and we will delete it. You do not need to give a reason.

Your choices

• Ask us what we hold about you, and we will tell you.
• Ask us to correct it or delete it, and we will.
• Ask us to stop contacting you, and we will stop.
• Block analytics cookies in your browser at any time.

Children

This is a business-to-business and homeowner supply site. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes to this policy

If we add a service that handles your data, or stop using one, we will change this page and change the date at the top of it. We will not quietly add trackers and leave this text describing a site that no longer exists.
